Azamara Club Cruises’ fourth and longest season in Australasia comes to an end when its 690-passenger Azamara Quest sails from Sydney late Thursday night for Cairns.

The company will operate its first turnaround in Cairns for a repositioning voyage to Singapore via Indonesia.

Azamara Quest made seven local cruises, including inaugural departures from Fremantle and Melbourne and maiden visits to Nelson, Kaikoura and Stewart Island in New Zealand.

A highlight was being berthed at White Bay on New Year’s Eve to view Sydney’s renowned annual fireworks.

Thursday night’s sailing is also Quest’s farewell to Sydney.

The company’s fifth season Down Under will be operated by sister ship Azamara Journey which arrives in Australian waters on February 1, 2020, for five local cruises.

Azamara Club Cruises’ newest ship, Azamara Pursuit, will arrive in Fremantle on December 20, 2020.
