Grand Celebration - 31 two-night Bahamas cruises canceled
Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line has chartered one of its two ships to assist in the recovery of communities impacted by the recent Massachusetts natural gas explosions.

Housing in Boston for workers

Grand Celebration will be positioned in Boston this month and next to provide housing for workers replacing miles of pipeline to restore natural gas service to thousands of homes.

In September one person was killed and thousands of people were forced to evacuate their homes following a series of explosions and fires in three Massachusetts cities. The blasts occurred in natural gas lines owned by Columbia Gas.

Cruises to resume in December

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line said Grand Celebration is scheduled to resume operations from the Port of Palm Beach in December. Thirty-one departures of the ship's two-night cruises to Grand Bahama Island were canceled. The last canceled date was for the Nov. 29 sailing.

Travelers who booked directly with the cruise line can contact its customer service department (1-800-374-4363) to review their options. They can receive a full refund or reschedule their cruise and get a $100 on-board credit. Passengers who did not book directly should contact their travel provider.

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line's Grand Classica is going to operate on Grand Celebration's schedule during October and November.
