Carnival is extremely proud to be supporting the hospital, Jennifer Vandekreeke said
In preparation for the repositioning of Carnival Spirit to the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal, currently under construction at Luggage Point, Carnival Cruise Line has pledged to raise money for the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The 2,124-passenger Carnival Spirit, which has been permanently homeported in Sydney since October 2012, will operate year-round from the BICT when it opens in October next year.

‘Conga for Kids’

Carnival Australia’s VP and GM Jennifer Vandekreeke said funds will be raised on board Carnival Spirit with a ‘Conga for Kids’ initiative.

Passengers will be invited to a top deck dance party where A$20 ‘Conga for Kids’ T-shirts will be on sale.

More families than any other

‘Kids and families are at the heart of what we do,’ Vandekreeke said. ‘Carnival carries more kids and families than any other cruise line in the world.

‘That’s why we’re extremely proud to be partnering with the Children’s Hospital Foundation to support the health and welfare of Queensland kids and their families.’

Vital research

Rosie Simpson, CEO of the Children’s Hospital Foundation, said the support from Carnival will help fund vital research, new equipment and entertainment for children in hospital.
