Cunard adds more Victoria, BC, round-trips in 2020

Cunard added more novel round-trips from Victoria, BC, for Queen Elizabeth’s 2020 Alaska season following a positive response to the first ones introduced earlier this year.

The new cruises include a 12-night voyage departing July 8 that visits Vancouver, Sitka, Glacier Bay National Park, Anchorage, Kodiak, Seward and College Fjord. Fares start at $1,599.

A 10-night voyage on July 20 will stop at Vancouver, Juneau, Skagway, Hubbard Glacier, Sitka and Ketchikan. Fares start at $1,449.

And San Francisco-Victoria

The company also added a three-night getaway cruise from San Francisco to Victoria, July 5, with a call at Astoria, Oregon. Prices begin at $649.

‘After a successful launch of four round-trip Victoria voyages in July, we have decided to add three additional voyages to meet our guests’ demand,’ said Josh Leibowitz, SVP Cunard North America. ‘Victoria is one of Canada’s top-rated destinations and this will give passengers extra time in port to explore the city pre- and post-cruise.’

The round-trips launched earlier for the 2020 Alaska season include an 11-night voyage departing July 30 and visiting Vancouver, Glacier Bay National Park, Skagway, Sitka, Hubbard Glacier, Icy Strait Point, Juneau and Ketchikan. Fares start at $1,499.

A nine-night cruise, Aug. 10, stops at Vancouver, Tracy Arm Fjord, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park and Sitka. Following that is another nine-night sailing on Aug. 19 to the same destinations plus Ketchikan. Prices for both begin at $1,299.

A 10-night cruise departing Aug. 28 goes to Juneau, Sitka, Hubbard Glacier, Icy Strait Point, Glacier Bay National Park and Ketchikan, and is priced starting at $1,449.

Cunard is doubling its Alaska program in 2020, spending a full season in the region from June through September with 10 voyages.

30-day Alaska cruise sale

Travel advisors will receive bonus commission plus extra on-board credit of up to $300 for clients when they book a Victoria voyage during October. This offer is combinable with the ‘Three for All’ promotion and group amenities.
