De Hoop launches Galápagos ship Celebrity Flora

Luxury expedition ship Celebrity Flora will carry just 100 passengers
Shipyard De Hoop in the Netherlands successfully launched Celebrity Flora, the luxury expedition vessel Celebrity Cruises is building expressly for Galápagos service.

In a few weeks, the 5,739gt ship will head from Tolkamer to Rotterdam for upper deck construction and final outfitting.

First cruise set for May 26

Celebrity Flora is set to debut in the spring. The 100-passenger ship is scheduled to begin sailing from Baltra in the Galápagos starting May 26.

De Hoop is also building the Galápagos ship Silver Origin for Silversea Cruises.
