Ensemble's Libbie Rice is AmaMora godmother

Fifteen-year travel industry veteran Libbie Rice has served as co-president of Ensemble Travel Group since January 2011
Libbie Rice, co-president of Ensemble Travel Group, will serve as godmother of AmaMora, one of three new ships entering AmaWaterways' fleet in 2019, the most since the company’s inception.

Rice will preside over festivities for the 156-passenger ship alongside AmaWaterways’ executive team and local dignitaries during a christening ceremony in Lahnstein, Germany, the week of July 15.

Extraordinary professional and avid traveler

'Libbie is an extraordinary travel professional with incredible knowledge and experience, as well as an avid world traveler, which makes her the perfect choice to fill this exciting role,' said Kristin Karst, EVP and co-owner of AmaWaterways.

Rice, co-president of Ensemble since January 2011, has served in various travel industry positions for more than 15 years. These included key roles in customer relationship management and revenue management for major airlines and hotel chains. She has earned the reputation of being a forward-thinking leader and received accolades for her expertise in quantitative marketing, revenue management, customer relationship management and information, as well as social media.

Passion for adventure

Rice has lived in Australia, Belgium and Hong Kong, and couples her passion for travel with adventure, having summited Mount Kilimanjaro, bungee-jumped with Ensemble members in Whistler and hang-glided in Rio de Janeiro.

Twin balconies and connecting rooms

AmaMora is the sister of 2018's AmaLea. It features 78 staterooms, almost all with AmaWaterways’ signature twin balconies, and connecting rooms suited to multigenerational families.

Regionally-inspired dishes paired are paired with hand-selected wines at the Main Restaurant and Chef’s Table Restaurant, and the vessel will offer an all-day tapas menu, afternoon tea, complimentary daily Sip & Sail cocktail hour and a 24-hour coffee station.

Wellness offerings include group fitness classes led by dedicated wellness hosts and a fitness center with treadmills and weights. Bicycles are available to use at no extra charge. A heated Sun Deck pool with a swim-up bar, complimentary Wi-Fi and in-room entertainment on demand, as well as massage and hair salon services.

Rhine routes between Amsterdam and Basel

A selection of up to 20 complimentary tours is offered during a weeklong cruise. Highlights include the spectacular Rhine Gorge and special interest tours like a visit to Lahneck Castle visit by candlelight.

AmaMora will begin its inaugural season June 3, sailing the seven-night 'Enchanting Rhine' and 'Captivating Rhine' itineraries between Basel and Amsterdam. The ship will also sail Christmas markets cruises on the Rhine between Nov. 25 and Dec. 23.
