FCCA moves charity cruise auction forward, to this week

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association opened the FCCA Online Auction. Running until Friday, it features discounts on 14 cruises valued at more than $55,000.

Proceeds will support humanitarian needs in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Summer Caribbean cruises highlighted

Normally taking place during the FCCA Cruise Conference & Trade Show, set this year for Oct. 21-25 in San Juan, Puerto Rico, the FCCA Online Auction has been moved up by months to shine light on summer cruises in the Caribbean.

‘By moving the initiative earlier, our trade partners can experience the options in the Caribbean, as well as the competition around the world,’ FCCA President Michele Paige said.

25% savings

Accessible for anyone with a valid e-mail address, the auction features 14 cruises donated by FCCA member lines, with bids starting at half their value and prices with 25% savings.

Choices include Caribbean cruises for two on Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line, MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Virgin Voyages.

Also available: a 10-day ‘Classical Empires Voyage’ for two on Oceania Cruises; a seven-night ‘Trekking the Tongass Cruise’ on Regent Seven Seas Cruises; a seven-night Western Mediterranean cruise for two in a verandah stateroom on Costa Cruises; and any voyage for two on Azamara.

A host of options for weeklong cruises for two in balcony staterooms on board Norwegian Encore and a Princess Cruises OceanMedallion Vacation are futher choices.

Most cruises have a wide range of booking options and dates available, with limited black-outs.

Proceeds benefit the FCCA Foundation

Proceeds will benefit the FCCA Foundation, a nonprofit, charitable organization that supports humanitarian needs in the Caribbean and Latin America, with annual projects including scholarships and a holiday gift project.
