Distinctive bow, intriguing features
Frank Del Rio unveiled the first renderings of Norwegian Cruise Line's 140,000gt next-generation ship design at Fincantieri.

Four vessels in Project Leonardo series are on order for delivery in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025, with options for additional deliveries in 2026 and 2027.

Each will carry approximately 3,300 passengers double occupancy.

The ship has a distinctive bow, a new-look funnel and intriguing features like large, rounded forms low at the stern. Lounges? A restaurant? Del Rio didn't say.

The president and ceo of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings showed the renderings at Seatrade Cruise Global.
