Michael Goh will outline Dream Cruises’ plans for Australia
Michael Goh, SVP international sales for Genting Cruise Lines, joins the lineup of guest speakers at this year’s Australian Cruise Association conference in Geelong, Victoria, on September 4-6.

Goh will share the podium with Silversea’s Adam Armstrong and Windstar Cruises’ product manager Melissa Witsoe, reflecting a growing interest in smaller ships best suited for Australia’s regional ports.

As previously reported, Windstar will operate its first immersive itineraries in Australasia with Star Breeze from November 2020 through to February 2021 and Silversea’s 596-passenger Silver Muse will return to Australia in November for a second season going through until March 2020.

As also reported, Dream Cruises, which is owned by Genting, is sending Explorer Dream on a maiden season to Australia from October until March next year.

Portside perspective

Captain Nikolaos Antalis, associate VP marine & safety for Asia Pacific at Royal Caribbean International, will give a portside perspective of co-ordinating ship movements and planning nautical operations at existing ports and conducting feasibility plans for new port visits.

The ACA is working closely with Visit Victoria, Tourism Greater Geelong and the Bellarine, Business Events Geelong and the City of Greater Geelong and expects around 120 delegates at its 23rd annual conference which has the theme ‘Cruising — The Value Proposition.’

Early bird registration

ACA CEO Jill Abel said delegates should take advantage of earlybird registration which ends July 31.
