Get ready for Galápagos glamping on Celebrity Flora

RENDERING: Celebrity Cruises
Glamping - one cabana for dinner, the other for sleeping under the stars
Galápagos newbuild Celebrity Flora is going to offer a glamorous camping experience on the top deck, complete with dining, drinking and sleeping under one of the most spectacular night skies in the world.

Galápagos glamping gives an 'incredible opportunity to experience the destination the ship was built for, on a whole new level, under the millions of stars above,' said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO, Celebrity Cruises.

Stargazing and 'smores

Four starstruck guests per night will be able to book the top deck experience and participate in this one-night-only adventure. The reservations include two luxuriously inviting cabanas, one fitted with a double bed for sleeping, and the other set up for savoring an alfresco meal. A naturalist will be available to point out the stars and constellations directly from the cabana seats.

Campfire-inspired culinary delights—from cocktails to wines to s’mores—will be specially curated for the evening. A full bedside breakfast is also part of the experience.

Celebrity Flora is scheduled for delivery from De Hoop shipyard in spring 2019. Sailings from Baltra begin May 26. Alternating 10- and 11-night tours will be available, along with a 16-night itinerary that pairs an inner loop and outer loop route.

SeaDream's Balinese beds and U by Uniworld's rooftop camping

Celebrity isn't the first to offer sleep-outs on deck, but its glamping sounds like the most luxurious way to go.

SeaDream Yacht Club has long featured sleeping under the stars in Balinese beds that are made up with duvets and pillows, and U by Uniworld recently announced it would introduce extra-charge rooftop camping in 2019, with a nightcap and breakfast picnic basket.
