MSC Grandiosa will have the longest Mediterranean-style promenade at sea and LED sky screen
MSC Cruises is giving members of its MSC Voyagers Club (past passengers) the first crack at booking MSC Grandiosa's maiden voyage in November 2019.

Additional savings for brand loyalists

Through Oct. 21, Voyagers Club members will also receive a 5% discount on top of their regular 5% loyalty savings. Sales will open to the general public Oct. 22. This follows sales opening last spring for other Grandiosa voyages.

MSC Grandiosa is under construction at Chantiers de l'Atlantique and will be the first of two Meraviglia-Plus ships.

Maiden voyage from Hamburg to Genoa

The maiden cruise will sail Nov. 10, 2019, to ports in northern Europe and the Mediterranean. Travelers can choose from a 10- or 13-night sailing, embarking in Hamburg and disembarking in Genoa or Marseille. MSC Grandiosa will also call at Southampton, Lisbon and Barcelona, with an overnight stay at each port.

MSC Grandiosa follows the Meraviglia-generation ships MSC Meraviglia and, entering service in March 2019, MSC Bellissima. MSC Grandiosa will feature more public space, new dining options and the longest Mediterranean-style promenade at sea and LED sky screen, among other soon-to-be-announced features.

New Cirque du Soleil shows

The ship will also be the third in MSC Cruises' fleet to feature two new shows from Cirque du Soleil at Sea. The line's partnership with Cirque du Soleil will result in a total of eight original shows, with two on each of the four Meraviglia and Meraviglia-Plus ships.

MSC Grandiosa will be christened in Hamburg on Nov. 9, 2019, not Nov. 2 as earlier announced, and following its maiden voyage, the ship will begin seven-night Mediterranean cruises from Genoa starting Nov. 23. Destinations include Civitavecchia (Rome), Palermo, Valletta, Barcelona and Marseille.
