MSC Orchestra becomes first MSC Cruises ship to visit Greenland

MSC Cruises’ MSC Orchestra made her maiden voyage to Greenland’s capital, Nuuk August 19. This was the first MSC ship to ever sail to Greenland.

The ship is on a 22-day cruise from Hamburg and will sail the Prince Christian Sund passage, on the southern tip of Greenland and will continue north, calling Ilulissat August 20 before heading south, arriving Qaqortoq August 23 and Iceland’s Reykjavik August 27.

MSC Grandiosa official naming

MSC Cruises has chosen Hamburg as the venue for the naming of newbuild MSC Grandiosa on November 9.
