Nansha cruise port management company begins operations

Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport Operation & Management Co. held an opening ceremony to mark the commencement of operations.

The company was formed with a joint investment by Guangzhou Haigang Business Travel Co. (a subsidiary of Guangzhou Port Group) and CCCC Urban Investment Holding Co.

Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport Operation & Management Co. has started to communicate with cruise lines this week, and is expecting to confirm bookings up to 2020.

Two berths in first phase

In 2015, CCCC Urban Investment Company and CCCC Fourth Harbor Engineering Co., Ltd. won the bid for the Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Homeport project.

The cruise port is located inside Nansha free trade zone. The first phase project includes one berth for ships up to 100,000gt and one for ships up to 225,000gt, plus a passenger terminal.

The port is scheduled to open for trial operation in October and to begin official operation in November.
