Pride of America will substitute Lahaina (Maui) for missed calls at Kona and Hilo
Norwegian Cruise Line has revised its weekly Hawaii itinerary due to 'uncertain conditions resulting from volcanic activity' on the Big Island.

Lahaina joins the roster

Pride of America will skip Hilo and Kona on the Big Island (Hawaii) until further notice, while adding a stop at Lahaina (Maui).

'Hawaii is an incredible destination and we are proud to have faithfully visited its ports for the last 14 years,' Norwegian spokeswoman Christine Da Silva said. 'We will continue to monitor the situation and hope to return to Hilo and Kona again as soon as possible.'

The new itinerary has an extended stay at Kahului (Maui) from 8 a.m. Monday to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Lahaina on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., an extended stay at Nawiliwili (Kauai) from 8 a.m. Thursday to 2 p.m. Friday and arrival back at Honolulu at 7 a.m. Saturday, with departure from there at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Previously, Norwegian had adjusted its itinerary on a weekly basis, as needed, with president and CEO Andy Stuart calling the situation surrounding Kilauea's volcanic activity 'somewhat fluid and uncertain.'
