The Spanish cruise operator expects to carry more than 30,000 guests during the winter deployment which visits three countries in one week: Spain (Gran Canaria, Tenerife, La Palma and Lanzarote), Portugal (Funchal) and Morocco (Agadir).
Embarking in Gran Canaria (Saturday) and Tenerife (Sunday), the eight-day, seven-night itinerary starts on November 17, 2018, and continues through to end March 2019, making a total of 20 departures.
Optional flights from Madrid and Barcelona are offered for passengers travelling from the Spanish mainland.
A third consecutive year of Canary Islands' deployment
President and ceo of Pullmantur Cruceros, Richard J. Vogel said, ‘this will be the third consecutive year we will be operating in the Canary Islands, a sign of our commitment to this destination of great beauty, appeal and distinctive charm.’
He added, ‘It is the ideal choice for a winter break, being a short distance away and due to its fantastic climate.’
Vogel also commented, ‘we decided to include Madeira on this route because we wish to offer our passengers the opportunity to visit this increasingly popular destination. In fact, last year, the island welcomed a record number of tourists.’
Special New Year and Carnival sailings
The are two special holiday departures this winter: a one-off, seven-night cruise, which includes a stop in Agadir and the night of 31 December anchored in Funchal so that guests can experience its famous fireworks; and a seven-night cruise, embarking Gran Canaria on March 2 and Tenerife on March 3, 2019 which includes a night in La Palma for the Canaries Carnival celebrations.
