Members of the loyalty program MSC Voyagers Club will get the first crack at bookings, with general sales to open March 19.
MSC Grandiosa represents the further evolution of the Meraviglia prototype, first introduced nine months ago. MSC Cruises CEO Gianni Onorato said Grandiosa will become the 'richest in features' ship in the fleet.
It will debut two brand-new shows from Cirque du Soleil at Sea, resultng in a total of eight original shows available on MSC Cruises’ four Meraviglia and Meraviglia-plus ships. (Two shows each will also be performed on MSC Meraviglia and MSC Bellissima.)
MSC Grandiosa will showcase an even larger Mediterranean-style promenade that serves as the social hub of the ship with an array of shops, specialty restaurants and a new bar and lounge, L’Atelier Bistrot, that will offer lounge seating with a stage and a dance floor.
Impressionist art will be on display, and this space will also have 'terrace' seating with Parisian bistrot tables and chairs on the promenade. Throughout the day and the evening, this promenade hosts surprise performances, including flash mobs and themed parties as well as projections on the even longer 98.5-metre LED Sky screen.
Other MSC Grandiosa highlights include new family activities and entertainment. The children's DOREMI Lab will offer new themes each day, while the DOREMI Studio Lounge focuses on fun through music, with the possibility for kids to record songs and star in their own music videos.
Restaurant options include at least a dozen dining venues, ranging from specialty restaurants to a buffet. A new restaurant concept will be introduced on the Promenade, exclusively for MSC Aurea experience guests.
The MSC Yacht Club will continue to offer key features such as the exclusive Top Sail lounge, One Pool Deck, private restaurant and butler service.
