Sea Cloud announces new ship's routes, first US Virgin Islands calls

sea cloud spirit
Sea Cloud Spirit follows in the windjammer tradition of Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II with new features like a generous number of cabins with balconies
The preview brochure for the new Sea Cloud Spirit, scheduled to enter service in late summer 2020, is available. Travelers can pre-register for cruises from August to December; actual bookings will open later this year.

Maiden voyage Aug. 29 from Lisbon

Sea Cloud Spirit's maiden voyage, from Lisbon to Civitavecchia (Rome), is scheduled for Aug. 29-Sept. 11, 2020. Viewing a classic regatta will take place on the Civitavecchia to Nice voyage that follows, Sept. 28-Oct. 8.

Several shorter cruises are available: round-trip Naples, Sept. 18-22 and Oct. 8-12, and round-trip Las Palmas, Nov. 5-9.

Passengers can go trans-Atlantic, sailing with the trade winds under full sails for 14 days, Nov. 9-24, from Las Palmas to St. Maarten.

New destination

Three new Caribbean itineraries visit the US Virgin Islands for the first time: Nov. 24 to Dec. 4, Dec. 4-13 and Dec. 13-20.

Sea Cloud Spirit follows the role model of windjammer sisters Sea Cloud and Sea Cloud II, but offers a generous number of cabins with balconies, an extensive sun deck with sunbeds, a gym with panoramic views, spa and wellness area, and the choice of an elegant menu in the restaurant or a relaxed dinner in the bistro on the lido deck.
