TUI Cruises marking a decade of cruising

TUI Cruises has carried over 2m guests on the Mein Schiff fleet since it was founded
TUI Cruises is celebrates its 10th anniversary on Sunday.

Established on April 22, 2008 as a joint venture between TUI AG and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd it was founded in the midst of one of the biggest economic crises in recent German history.

TUI Cruises has ordered six new cruise ships in the past ten years and the Mein Schiff fleet has welcomed around 2.2 million guests and called at more than 200 ports.

During the past decade stars like Helene Fischer, Udo Lindenberg, Santiano, Tim Raue and Johan Lafer have entertained guests on board. A seventh 'Full Metal Cruise' takes place on MS3 this summer.

On May 11, 2018, the new Mein Schiff 1 will be named in Hamburg.

The new Mein Schiff 2 is currently being built in the Finnish yard Meyer Turku and it was recently announced that Mein Schiff 7 will arrive in 2023.

To celebrate a decade of cruising TUI is planning activities on board this summer as well as a website raffle to win cruises on the Mein Schiff fleet.
