The official naming ceremony will be held in New York September 10.
Making her maiden voyage August 15, the ship will depart Reykjavik, Iceland on a 13-day sailing, ending in Quebec August 27.
Scenic Eclipse’s exploration equipment includes two six-guest helicopters and a six-guest submarine.
The ship recently underwent sea trials, which ‘surpassed every expectation,’ according to Capt. James Griffiths of Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours.
