With World Dream's arrival in November, this second ship of Dream Cruises will replace sister Genting Dream in China's Pearl Delta. Genting Dream will be homeported at Singapore, and Star Cruises' SuperStar Gemini will move from Singapore to Bangkok, Thailand.

These moves, along with the repositioning of SuperStar Libra to Port Klang, mean Dream Cruises and Star Cruises will have homeports and destinations covering East Asia, including China, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Indonesia, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam.

Genting Hong Kong chairman and ceo Tan Sri Lim Kok Thay expressed satisfaction with the market's reception of Genting Dream.

'After a six-month start-up period, we are pleased that Genting Dream achieved profitability standards comparable to global industry standards in the first seven weeks of the third quarter of this year,' Lim said.

Genting Dream will be homeported in Singapore with 'much faster market acceptance as travel agents and passengers have experienced the luxury standards of Dream Cruises in the Pearl Delta homeport,' he added.

According to Genting HK, the deployments mean Genting Cruises will have the largest passenger capacity, more homeports and destinations than any other cruise brands in Asia.
