RCL gets additional liquidity with debt holidays for French-built ships

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. secured approximately $220m of incremental liquidity by taking advantage of debt holidays for three French-built ships.

The debt holiday, through April 2021, is offered by BpiFrance Assurance Export, the official export credit agency of France, to provide relief for borrowers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Celebrity Edge, Celebrity Apex, Symphony of the Seas

The amended loan facilities are for Celebrity Edge, the recently delivered Celebrity Apex and Symphony of the Seas. All were built at Chantiers de l'Atlantique in Saint-Nazaire.

On top of debt relief from Germany

This is on top of liquidity secured via debt relief for eight of RCL's German-built ships from Hermes, Germany's export credit agency.
