Regent’s Seven Seas Mariner adds seven Pacific Rim voyages in 2022

Regent Seven Seas Cruises opened reservations for seven new voyages, ‘Marvels of the Pacific Rim,’ that have been added to its 2022 schedule.

Port overnights and included land stays

Seven Seas Mariner’s program will offer multiple overnights in ports, access to dozens of UNESCO World Heritage Sites and free pre- or post-cruise land programs on select voyages.

Overnights will be available in cities like Auckland, Sydney, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo, to name a few. Among the included land stays are ‘Sydney Icons,’ ‘Jewels of Hong Kong’ and ‘Vibrant Tokyo.’ Optional overland programs take travelers to the Great Wall of China or Angkor Wat.

San Francisco to Tahiti

The Pacific Rim series begins with an 18-night voyage from San Francisco to Papeete, Tahiti, on Jan. 5, 2022. Seven Seas Mariner travels via the Hawaiian Islands.

The Jan. 23 cruise embarks at Papeete and sails to Auckland in 16 nights, with stops at Polynesian paradises. A free post-cruise land program explores New Zealand’s natural wonders.

A two-week sailing from Auckland to Sydney follows on Feb. 8. Seven Seas Mariner heads south from Auckland to explore the eastern coast of the country, from the geothermal region around Lake Rotorua and the cultural insights of Waitangi to Milford Sound.

Southeast Asia

On Feb. 22, the ship departs Sydney for a 21-night cruise to Singapore that includes an overnight in Brisbane and a cruise along the Gold Coast, from the Great Barrier Reef to Bali for another overnight stop. Travelers can explore Sydney on an included pre-cruise land program or opt for an included overnight in Sinagpore after the sailing.

Southeast Asia is highlighted on the March 15 voyage from Singapore to Hong Kong, 16 nights. Seven Seas Mariner will stay overnight in five cities including Bangkok, and visit Ha Long Bay. Travelers can choose a free pre-cruise overnight in Singapore or a post-cruise program in Hong Kong.

China and Japan

From Hong Kong, the ship continues to Tokyo with overnights there and in Xiamen, Shanghai and Kyoto. This March 31 cruise, 15 nights, also visits some of Japan’s smaller islands, like Okinawa and Oshima, and offers a pre-cruise night In Hong Kong or a post-cruise stay in Tokyo.

From Tokyo, Seven Seas Mariner circles back to San Francisco, departing April 15 on a 20-night voyage via the Kamchatka volcanic region around Petropavlovsk, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then Seven Seas Mariner journeys east to Alaska before arriving in San Francisco. A free post-cruise land program there and in Sausalito is included.
