Carnival Cruise Line veteran Renata Ribeiro landed a new position as SVP special projects at Carnival Corp. & plc.

She's working for Josh Weinstein, who ascended to corporate chief operations officer in June.

Dozen years at Carnival Cruise Line

Ribeiro spent nearly a dozen years at Carnival Cruise Line before her job was eliminated in the recent COVID-19 cutbacks. Most recently she had been SVP destination development. She also worked as SVP guest commerce and VP fleet deployment & demand strategy. She joined Carnival in 2008 as senior director, guest experience.

Before Carnival, Ribeiro was with Boston Consulting Group.

Carnival Corp. confirmed her new role but could not immediately provide information about the type of projects Ribeiro is undertaking to support Weinstein.
