Seabourn Ovation switches turnarounds to Singapore, revises ports

Seabourn Ovation will be steering clear of Hong Kong, mainland China, Macau and Taiwan
Seabourn Ovation, currently on a voyage that departed Hong Kong Feb. 1, will be turning around in Singapore for the next couple cruises, and ports are being revised.

The changes are related to coronavirus precautions.

Thailand instead of the Philippines

Seabourn Ovation was scheduled to visit the Philippines on its current cruise, but new entry restrictions imposed just prior to arrival forced a change of itinerary, Seabourn spokesman Brian Badura said. Thailand is a replacement for some of the calls that could not be made.

The ship had a scheduled stop at Laem Chabang yesterday and was en route to Ko Kood today. Both are in Thailand.

Singapore replaces Hong Kong

The cruise will end Feb. 15 in Singapore. The Feb. 15 and Feb. 29 sailings will operate round-trip from there, instead of Hong Kong.

Those cruises, through March 14, will not visit China, including Hong Kong and Macau, or Taiwan.

Itinerary revisions are being communicated to passengers and their travel advisors.
