Chloe Loddo, cruise director aboard Carnival Cruise Line Australia’s Carnival Spirit, and Lee Mason, cruise director aboard Carnival Splendor, challenged passengers to raise A$5,000 for the Australian Red Cross bushfire appeal.

Wearing evening gowns

In return, they promised to take the plunge down the Green Thunder and Green Lightning waterslides in evening gowns.

Goal surpassed

Passengers aboard both ships surpassed the target and a total of A$15,200 was raised.

A spokesperson for the company said it will continue to raise money for the appeal from passenger donations during the coming weeks.
