Vow's Scanship order intake for cruise newbuilds €24.2m in three months

With Vow's Scanship winning contracts for four MSC Cruises newbuilds at Fincantieri, the company has secured cruise business valued at €24.2m in the last three months.

Scanship will deliver cleantech systems for waste management, food waste processing and advanced wastewater purification for the four MSC ships. The contract includes options for two additional vessels.

Highest environmental standards

'We are excited to continue our cooperation with Fincantieri and MSC. Together we will ensure that these newbuilds will meet the highest environmental standards according to IMO MARPOL and for special and environmentally sensitive areas such as Baltic Sea and Alaska state waters,' Vow CEO Henrik Badin said. 'The contracts convey a strong message that the industry remains focused on the health of our oceans and that it is committed to long-term sustainable growth,' he added.

Plus optons for another five ships

Since May, Scanship bagged seven newbuild orders for a total value of €24.2m with options for another five vessels valued at a total €9.2m.

Vow plans to report first half results Aug. 26.
