American Queen Voyages realigns sales team

American Queen Voyages promoted Janelle Valentino to director of national accounts, hired a new regional account manager and realigned sales territories.

Besides leading national accounts, Valentino, who joined as a regional account manager in April 2022, also will represent the Florida region.

Valentino has more than 15 years of experience and previously worked as a business development manager at Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Earlier, she was supervisor, revenue administration, at Royal Caribbean Group.

Key support comes from national account managers Laura Tubman and Kelvin Naranjo.

New regional sales manager/realigned territories

Brandon Appel joined from Vacasa, a vacation rental management company, as Northwest regional sales manager covering Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.

As part of the territory restructuring, Darrell Wyatt will represent the Midwest region covering Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Scott Moore will handle the Northeast, including Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.

Greg Abbott will represent the Southwest, encompassing Arizona, New Mexico, California, Colorado, Nevada, Oklahoma, Texas and Utah.

Taylor Henwood will cover the South Atlantic region: Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Travel advisor support

'The realignment of our sales team will enhance our ability to bring guests more one-of-a-kind experiences and provide further support to travel advisors,' VP Sales Kevin Smith said. 'With Janelle Valentino's promotion and the addition of Brandon Appel, our sales team will be more dynamic, propelling American Queen Voyages further in 2023.'
