He succeeds Kevin Smith, who went to Sea Cloud Cruises.

Lorton brings decades of hospitality experience to his new role, leading the sales and revenue management teams, helping strengthen the brand’s customer relationships and driving revenue growth.

Adam Peakes, president of Hornblower Group, the parent of AQV and City Cruises, cited Lorton's 'years of hospitality expertise, exceptional sales acumen and proven track record,' adding; 'I’m looking forward to the fresh, new ideas Kevin brings to the table as we continue to level up our services for American Queen Voyages.'

Wide-ranging experience

With Hornblower Group for more than 30 years, Lorton has worked with City Cruises’ operations across Northern California, Greater Los Angeles, Long Beach, Orange County and San Diego, in addition to the historic event facility, The Abbey in Balboa Park. His previous roles with the company included VP and GM of Greater Los Angeles and Orange County, as well as the director of sales and marketing, promotions manager and public cruise manager.
