A new president/CEO for Atlas Ocean Voyages is expected to start the first week in August.

That leader is to be named soon, the company said.

Alberto Aliberti, the founding president and face of the brand since it launched in 2019 as the North American offshoot of Portugal's Mystic Invest Holdings/Mystic Cruises, is expected to continue until then to ensure a smooth transition.

Aliberti spearheaded the North American operation, opening the Fort Lauderdale office and assembling the Atlas team, following more than 13 years with Mystic/DouroAzul in Portugal.

He positioned Atlas as a 'luxe adventure' experience.

Aliberti's plans have not been disclosed.

World Traveller arrives in September

In a statement, Atlas said it would 'focus on its valued travel partners and bolster the brand’s sales and occupancy growth of its luxury expedition vessels,' adding that in September, World Traveller will join the fleet.

It is the sister of the 196-passenger World Navigator.
