Aurora Expeditions' new CEO to take up post in June

Michael Heath, who has replaced Monique Ponfoort as CEO for Aurora Expeditions, will take up his new position on June 1.

Heath has been CEO of Surf Hardware International since 2014 and has worked for global outdoor brands, including Nike. 

'Outstanding expedition experience'

He said he was ‘incredibly impressed' with his first trip to Antarctica with Aurora, not just by the awe of the region, but by the company’s ‘outstanding expedition experience’ and highly talented expedition team.

‘It is a privilege to take on the role at such an important time in the businesses’ history and lead Aurora into the future,’ he said.

She has been the Australasia correspondent for Seatrade Cruise Review since 1997 and for Seatrade Insider (now Seatrade Cruise News) since its launch in 2000.
