Bahamas Paradise appoints Palm Beach mover and shaker to new VP role

Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line tapped Anita Mitchell as VP external affairs and new business development.

With more than 50 years of campaign and government experience, she has served in civic roles including on the boards of several local chambers of commerce and was named the first woman president of the Forum Club of the Palm Beaches and chair of the Florida Women’s Hall of Fame. She also chaired the Republican Party of Palm Beach County.

Moves in-house from consulting role

Mitchell has consulted with Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line over the past few years. In her new role she will oversee communication with local and federal government groups and elected officials, helping further the executive team’s relationships within the Palm Beach County community.

Mitchell works closely with CEO Oneil Khosa and Chief Commercial Officer Francis Riley. She is also tasked with helping foster new business opportunities and strengthening relationships as Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line relaunches post-pandemic.

Can-do attitude

Mitchell joins after serving as president of Anita Mitchell Associates, now The Mitchell Group. She previously worked for Walt Disney World, the American Film Institute and Florida TaxWatch after starting her career in sales, public relations and radio in Brevard County, Florida.
