Bob Becker departs Celebrity Cruises, Angel Gomez steps up

Bob Becker left Celebrity Cruises, where he was VP consumer outreach for six months.

Known for his sales training and direct sales prowess, Becker reported to Dondra Ritzenthaler, SVP sales, trade support & service.

Angel Gomez

Angel Gomez assumed the role of AVP consumer sales, onboard cruise sales and brand events.

Celebrity said Gomez has an impressive background and experience in both trade support and guest sales & service, leading the line's call center operations as AVP guest sales & service since 2018.

Prior to that, he was director of guest sales & service. He joined Celebrity in 2010 as sales manager, consumer outreach.  

This followed two years as a sales coach at Royal Caribbean International. 

Becker's background

As for Becker, before Celebrity he spent a dozen years in a similar consumer outreach role at Norwegian Cruise Line, leaving in March 2022.

Prior to NCL, Becker drove direct sales at Carnival Cruise Line as SVP consumer research from 1999 to 2008. Earlier, he was director of consumer research/national accounts at Renaissance Cruises.
