Canadian travel expert, TV personality is Scenic Opal godmother

Newell is the owner and president of Travel Best Bets and is an expert on travel, from family travel tips to current events.

She will be joined by Scenic chairman Glen Moroney at a christening ceremony in Cochem, Germany, for media and travel industry leaders from Australia, New Zealand and North America.

Newell is the co-host of the travel series 'Operation: Vacation,' currently airing in the US and Canada on Travel + Escape. She is also the official travel consultant for Global BC and the author of 'Travel Best Bets – An Insider’s Guide to Taking Your Best Trips, Ever.'

Scenic Opal will be the 12th Scenic Space-Ship and the newest to sail Europe's waterways. The vessel's launch follows Scenic Jasper's introduction in April.
