What’s more, Taibel said, HAL and Seabourn are on track for an equally impressive AU/NZ sales year in 2025.

Alex Pikardt new sales director

Taibel said he is leaving the company as Carnival Australia reassesses its sales and marketing structure.

As separately reported, Holland America and Seabourn are consolidating their sales teams with Rob Coleman promoted to SVP of North America and Australia sales, while P&O Australia is being absorbed into Carnival Cruise Line.

Alex Pikardt, who has been with the company for more than a decade, will take on the newly-created position of director of sales for Holland America Line and Seabourn.

Travel partner support

Taibel thanked travel partners for their support the past 14 years.

‘I will leave Carnival Australia with nothing but fond memories, rich experiences and strong friendships,’ he said. ‘Thank you for being such an integral part of my cruise journey.’

Taibel plans to pursue other opportunities.
