Chef Emeril Lagasse, whose first restaurant at sea is aboard Carnival Cruise Line's Mardi Gras, will be aboard for the sailing that spans Thanksgiving.

He'll join the Nov. 20 departure from Port Canaveral, participate in some featured activities and mingle with passengers at Emeril’s Bistro 1396, the hub of the ship’s French Quarter. The bistro features the chef's signature New Orleans-style flavors and dishes.

Cooking class and Chef's Table

Legasse will also be a special guest at the morning show in the Grand Central atrium, and passengers will have the chance to win a spot in a cooking class with Emeril in the Carnival Kitchen.

He'll also be a guest chef in one of the Chef’s Tables specialty dining experiences with proceeds benefiting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
