New Zealand cruise industry veteran Jacqueline Unsworth has left her job as cruise marketing manager of helloworld New Zealand following the company’s restructuring as a result of the coronavirus crisis.

NZ’s first cruise wholesaler

Unsworth co-founded Creative Cruising New Zealand in 1990, the country’s first cruise wholesaler, selling Carnival Cruise Line, Epirotiki Line, Silversea Cruises and Dolphin Cruise Line.

After she sold her shares she worked for Passport Holidays and moved to Gullivers Pacific which became part of helloworld Travel four years ago.

Numerous accolades

She has won numerous accolades, including Cruise Lines International Association Australasia’s ‘Network Campaign of the Year’ three times and the Neil Frazer Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Cruise Industry in 2008, elevating her to CLIA Australasia’s Hall of Fame.

Return to cruise industry

‘I hope to take on some short-term marketing contracts,’ Unsworth told Seatrade Cruise News. ‘I would love to return to the cruise industry in a leadership role once it returns to some sort of normalcy.’
