American Queen Steamboat Co. engaged country music legend Lee Greenwood to perform on six sailings during the 2021 season.

Greenwood will take the Show Lounge stage of the boutique paddlewheeler American Duchess to sing his iconic hits including 'God Bless the USA.'

The artist, who makes Clarksville, Tennessee, his home, will board the vessel and visit with travelers before performing with the American Duchess Ensemble.

He's booked for the 'American Music Festival' cruises April 4-12 (Memphis to Nashville/Clarksville), April 11-19 (Nashville/Clarksville to St. Louis/Alton) and June 20-28 (Louisville to Nashville/Clarksville). He'll also perform for the 'Star-Spangled Spectacular' voyage June 27-July 5 (Nashville/Clarksville to Louisville) and during two 'Country Christmas' sailings, Dec. 5-13 (Memphis to Nashville/Clarksville) and Dec. 12-20 (Nashville/Clarksville to Memphis).

'During my career, I have had the privilege of performing in unique venues across the nation. However, there is nothing like taking the stage on board the American Duchess,' Greenwood said. 'There is no better music than the natural sounds of the paddlewheel churning the river and exchanging stories with guests.'
