Cruise veteran Tor Holm joins Vow in business development

Tor Holm brings experience from Carnival Corp. and Royal Caribbean
Tor Holm, a seasoned engineer and technical projects manager who spent the past seven years at Carnival Corp., has joined Vow ASA in business development.

Holm will take the lead in accelerating Vow's land-based business for waste valorization and renewable energy production, based in the Fort Lauderdale office, according to Vow CEO Henrik Badin.

Exhaust gas treatment systems

Holm had served as director of technical projects at Carnival Corp. since March 2013, working with all the company's brands. In recent years, he oversaw the planning and installation of 165 exhaust gas treatment systems (scrubbers).

Royal Caribbean years

Before that, Holm was director, project & development at Royal Caribbean International, where duties included the planning and installation of advanced wastewater treatment systems on 13 vessels in service, as well as coordinating, planning and managing other projects and technical development fleetwide.

He also has experience as a ship manager, port engineer, newbuilding inspector and environmental engineer.
