Celebrated Melbourne chef Karen Martini will lead Cunard’s second ‘Great Australian Culinary Voyage’ next year
Following this year’s successful inaugural ‘Great Australian Culinary Voyage’ in Queen Elizabeth, Cunard revealed Melbourne chef Karen Martini will headline the event next year.

The seven-night round cruise from Melbourne departs January 5, 2024 and will visit Hobart and Adelaide.

Martini will create a degustation menu for passengers in the Steakhouse at The Verandah and a three-course menu for the main dining room, the Britannia Restaurant.

Stellar career

During talks and panel discussions the celebrated chef, restaurateur, television presenter and author will share stories about her career and Australian produce.

Martini will be joined by other to-be-named Australian food and wine personalities.

Inaugural sporting greats

Former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee will spearhead the inaugural 'Voyage of Sporting Greats.'

The seven-night round-trip departs Sydney on February 13, 2024, with calls at Hobart, Port Arthur and Melbourne.

Lee will lead the lineup of Australian sporting icons, with more popular sporting talent to be announced shortly.

Successful voyages

Commercial Director for Australia and New Zealand Katrina McAlpine said she was pleased to be expanding on the success of Cunard’s 2023 themed voyages.

‘Our first Great Australian Culinary Voyage was a resounding triumph,’ McAlpine said.

‘This really is testament to our guests and their desire to discover extraordinary experiences, something Cunard constantly seeks to create and deliver on.

‘Having Brett Lee join us for our very first Voyage of Sporting Greats is quite the coup. He has had such an illustrious career in cricket, so no doubt he will have many inspiring stories to tell.

‘Sport is very much embedded in Australian culture and we look forward to working with Brett and other sporting greats to be announced soon to bring it to life on Queen Elizabeth next February.
