Tatar, who reports to Patrik Dahlgren, EVP vessel operations, is responsible for the newbuilding program and design for Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises.

Two decades of cruise shipbuilding experience

Tatar brings more than 20 years of experience in shipbuilding, design, marine and technical operations, first at yards in his native France then working directly for cruise lines starting in 2003. Most recently he led the introduction of 10 vessels for Holland America Group as VP newbuilding programs.

He also has extensive experience in ship refits and conversions.

A naval architect and marine engineer, Tatar spent several years at Alstom (now Chantiers de L’Atlantique), working on the design, engineering and construction of ships including Queen Mary 2, European Vison and European Stars for Festival Cruises, Celebrity Cruises' Millennium class and Princess Cruises' Island Princess and Coral Princess.

Robin Lindsay will guide a seamless transition

As special advisor, Lindsay will work on a seamless transition of the newbuild program and the transfer of his breadth of institutional knowledge to Tatar and the team in the months ahead.

NCLH called Lindsay's leadership and expertise in newbuild, refurbishment and vessel operations 'invaluable,' adding the company is 'pleased to retain his continued guidance in a special advisory capacity.'

James Mitchell

James Mitchell, newbuild innovation officer, will continue to support the NCLH newbuild program, focusing on innovation and new guest experiences.

He, too, now reports to Dahlgren.
