'Dan brings a wealth of operational knowledge and experience in the cruise industry, and we look forward to adding his voice and expertise to our distinguished board,' Lindblad Expeditions chairman Mark Ein said.

For the past four years Hanrahan served as president, ceo and director of the Regis Corp., a global leader in beauty salons and cosmetology. When he left one month ago, he was credited for making critical changes, improving the communication and culture from the corporate office to the stylists and strengthening the balance sheet.

As president and ceo of Celebrity Cruises until July 2012, Hanrahan oversaw the development and introduction of the acclaimed Solstice-class ships, which propelled the modern luxury premium brand. Prior to that, as svp he headed sales and marketing at Royal Caribbean International where he was responsible for fostering the 'Get Out There' campaign that redefined that brand.

Earlier Hanrahan held executive-level positions with Polaroid Corp. and Reebok International.

Since 2012, he has served as a director of Cedar Fair, a leader in regional amusement parks, water parks and active entertainment, where he is currently a member of their audit and compensation committees.

At Lindblad, Hanrahan joins the audit committee.
