Dean Brazier heads sales in Australasia for Ambassador Cruise Line

Dean Brazier is to be responsible for Ambassador in Australia and New Zealand
Dean Brazier has taken up the new role of head of sales and marketing Australia and New Zealand for Britain’s Ambassador Cruise Line.

Ambassador began operating the 1,400-passenger Ambience, the former Regal Princess named by Margaret Thatcher in 1991, from Tilbury in 2022.

She will sail from an additional six UK ports — Newcastle, Dundee, Liverpool, Belfast, Bristol and Falmouth — from next year.

World cruise

She will sail in Australian and New Zealand waters from February 2024 as part of Ambassador’s 'Grand Round the World Cruise.'

Cruise & Maritime Voyages

In August 2017 Brazier, who had immigrated to Australia from England, was appointed MD Australia for British-based Cruise & Maritime Voyages.

He opened an office in Adelaide and recruited staff.

However, due to the global pandemic, CMV was placed into administration in July 2020 and subsequently went into liquidation.

Ambassador’s CEO

The former chief executive of CMV, Christian Verhounig, is now CEO of Ambassador, whose major shareholder is Njord Partners LLP, London.

Verhounig said he is ‘thrilled’ to have Brazier onboard.

‘Having someone of Dean’s calibre represent us in Australia and New Zealand is key to ensuring our success,’ he said.
