DMC Nordic appoints Heidi Thon to its board

Heidi Thon, an accomplished Norwegian business leader with extensive experience in travel and tourism, joined the board of DMC Nordic.

The full service destination management company, a cruise specialist, is established in Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Estonia and Finland.

Thon is currently CEO of Gateway Studios, a TV/film and music/sound production company. Earlier roles included 13 years as director of marketing, sales, PR and media relations at Visit Oslo.

DMC Nordic Chairman/Owner Jens Elers said he aims for the board to represent the scope of its Nordic operations and better reflect the representation of women and men in line with employees, 65% women and 35% men.

Along with Elers, the other directors are Bo Nylandsted Larsen and Poul Hvilsted, all Danes, and Katarina Romell, a Swede.

Thomas Høy is DMC Nordic's CEO. The company has offices Copenhagen, Aalborg, Oslo, Bergen, Tromsø, Stockholm, Helsinki, Tallinn and Nuuk, and is expanding to additional destinations in the coming fall/winter.

At Seatrade Cruise Med

DMC Nordic will be participating at Seatrade Cruise Med in Málaga Sept. 11-12.
