FCCA hosts Bahamas tourism minister-led delegation in Miami

The Florida-Caribbean Cruise Association hosted a delegation from the Bahamas led by Deputy Prime Minister/Tourism Minister Chester Cooper in Miami.

On hand were high-level FCCA member line executives including Rick Sasso, chairman, MSC Cruises USA; Thomas Mazloum, president, Disney Cruise Line; Josh Weinstein, chief operations officer, Carnival Corp. & plc; Jay Schneider, SVP and chief product innovation officer, Royal Caribbean Group; and Juan Kurlya, SVP port development and construction management, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings. Other senior executives representing Azamara, SeaDream Yacht Club and further FCCA member lines were also present, along with FCCA President Michele Paige.

FCCA said the event, which featured dinner at Komodo Miami, gave the opportunity to discuss the current cruise and COVID-19 situation, adding the association hopes to have similar events with other destinations and stakeholders in future.
