Folgiero, who has led Maire Tecnimont Group as CEO since 2013, had been proposed to succeed longtime Fincantieri CEO Giuseppe Bono, as earlier reported here.

Maire Tecnimont Group is an Italian firm that supplies engineering and technology services to the energy industry.

New chairman is a general

Graziano, a general with a long military career who most recently chaired the European Union's Military Committee, succeeds Giampiero Massolo. Massolo had served as Fincantieri chairman since May 2016.

Besides Folgiero and Graziano, Fincantieri's new board consists of Paolo Amato, Alessandra Battaglia, Alberto Dell’Acqua, Massimo Di Carlo, Paola Muratorio, Cristina Scocchia, Valter Trevisani and Alice Vatta.

The directors are to serve a three-year term, through 2024.
