Frits van der Werff to oversee AQV hotel operations

Former Holland America Line executive Frits van der Werff joined American Queen Voyages as SVP guest experiences, responsible for overseeing hotel operations.

'Frits comes to American Queen Voyages with an extensive background in the hospitality industry — from cruise lines to top hotels — and that makes him the perfect candidate to enhance our guest experience aboard our ships,' AQV President Cindy D’Aoust said.

A 19-year industry veteran, van der Werff has led international operations teams at Holland America Line, where he was VP hotel and food and beverage operations; at MSC Cruises USA, Norwegian Cruise Line and St. Regis Hotels & Resorts. Most recently, he served as VP resort operations for Westgate Resorts.

Van der Werff said he's eager to work with the 'talented group of service-minded team members' at AQV to 'unleash new ideas while building on the success of the company’s heritage and traditions.'

Rodney Bailey, VP hotel operations, is no longer with AQV.
