Gordon Dirker named VP sales, North America at Swan Hellenic

Gordon Dirker, who has over 24 years’ senior-level cruise and travel industry experience, was appointed VP sales, North America by Swan Hellenic.

He will report directly to Alfredo Spadon, SVP global sales and marketing, who said, ‘Gordon is a dynamic professional with strong strategic vision who really “gets” what Swan Hellenic offers sophisticated modern cruise-goers with a thirst for knowledge and taste for adventure. 

‘He’s a perfect fit for the pioneering spirit and high service standards that have always distinguished Swan Hellenic.’ 

He went on to thank Dirker’s predecessor Lori Sheller for her ‘valued work.’

Dirker’s previous experience includes VP business development, Americas, at Celestyal Cruises, as well as VP Americas at Hurtigruten. Prior to this, he spent 18 years in progressively senior roles at TTC, a leading global travel and leisure group. 

He has a track record of strategic high-end brand and team building resulting in ‘outstanding sales and marketing achievements,’ according to the cruise line.  

Said Dirker, ‘I’m really fired up to join such an iconic high-end brand. The only one to offer cultural expedition cruises across all seven continents worldwide and to the most inspiring locations on elegantly indulgent ice-class ships.'

He joins the company August 8.
