Update: The jobs of Steve Smotrys and a number of other Seabourn veterans in national accounts, key accounts and expedition sales were eliminated with this change.

Coleman continues to report to Beth Bodensteiner, chief commercial officer for Holland America Line.

'Over the past 25 years, Rob has been an invaluable asset to Holland America Line’s sales team,' President Gus Antorcha said. 'With his expertise he is poised to lead Holland America Line and Seabourn in an exciting opportunity to further build and expand trade alliances.'

Leveraging analytics and trade programs

'Combining the two sales teams enables us to leverage and integrate industry-leading reporting, analytics and commercial trade programs for both brands,' Seabourn President Natalya Leahy added.

Coleman most recently served as VP North America sales. Before that, he was VP charter, incentive and series partnerships. Coleman joined Holland America Line in 1999 as an inside sales representative and has consistently taken on positions of increasing responsibility.

'Our field sales team already is experienced in representing both Holland America Line and Seabourn, and combining forces makes us a powerhouse,' Coleman said. 'This will be highly beneficial for travel advisors who already work with both brands, providing consistency, focus and enhanced support for their businesses.'

With the new structure, Tara Schreiner was promoted to VP national and strategic partnerships for Holland America and Seabourn. She had been director of national accounts at Holland America.

Steve Smotrys to exit

Steve Smotrys, Seabourn’s VP global sales and trade relations, will be leaving the company in September after four years.

'Steve’s leadership has been invaluable in his roles at Cunard, Princess and Seabourn over the years and we wish him the best,' Leahy said.

Before Seabourn, Smotrys was VP sales and trade marketing for Cunard in North America. Earlier he spent nearly 14 years at Princess Cruises in revenue planning and yield management roles.
