Cruise Online, appointed by Swan Hellenic CEO Andrea Zito to represent the company in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific in February last year, named Julie Jones as business development manager Australasia.

Zito said the partnership with Cruise Online, an arm of Aviation Online with offices in Sydney and Auckland, was part of Swan Hellenic’s long-term vision to establish a presence in strategic markets around the world.

Jones has made expedition voyages to the Arctic, Antarctica and the Kimberley where Swan Hellenic will sail next year.

In the newly created position of national business manager, she is tasked with building strong relationships with trade partners as well as overseeing sales.

In 2008 the late legendary Rama Rebbapragada presented her with an award from Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd ‘in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the cruising industry.’

In 2010 she won the Neil Frazer Award for ‘outstanding contribution to the cruise industry,’ elevating her to CLIA Australasia’s hall of fame.

She has been the Australasia correspondent for Seatrade Cruise Review since 1997 and for Seatrade Insider (now Seatrade Cruise News) since its launch in 2000.
