The Straits Times reported KT Lim has registered a company called Resorts World Cruises in Singapore
Former Genting Hong Kong Chairman/CEO Tan Sri KT Lim has registered a company called Resorts World Cruises in Singapore.

This, according to The Straits Times, which said Resorts World Cruises is held by shareholder Two Trees Family Holdings that lists Lim, son Lim Keong Hui and real estate investor Gerard Lim Ewe Keng as directors. The paper's queries to them went unanswered.

KT Lim is the chairman/CEO of Malaysia's diversified Genting Group, which includes Resorts World Las Vegas, and Lim Keong Hui, a former deputy CEO of Genting Hong Kong, serves as deputy chief executive and executive director.

Surrendered Genting HK in January

KT Lim resigned from Genting HK in January after joint provisional liquidators were appointed to oversee the wind up of Star Cruises, Dream Cruises and Crystal Cruises.

Dream Cruises' 208,000gt Global Dream remains unfinished at the former Genting HK-owned MV Werften. In February, media reports citing the administrator for the insolvent shipyards cluster said Lim was among those initially interested in buying the ship.

Administrator Christoph Morgen told Bloomberg then: 'My impression is that he would only like to buy it if nobody else would be interested in order to get it cheap and possibly to finish the ship somewhere else.'

Genting HK had particularly argued for a Dream Cruises restructuring and continuation when filing to wind up in January.

Crystal Endeavor inspection?

More recently there have been unconfirmed reports of Lim inspecting expedition ship Crystal Endeavor, anchored off Gibraltar since late March.
